SALE PREPARATION

Create a one-page generator sale brief

By SellMyGen Editorial Team

A concise sale brief gives a reviewer a starting point. It should identify the generator, summarize known condition and explain where to find the evidence behind each important statement.

01

Lead with identity and documented specification

Use a header containing the unit reference, complete-set manufacturer, model and serial. Add the documented kW value with rating category, fuel, voltage and frequency where confirmed. Put engine identity in a separate line. Mark unknowns explicitly instead of removing the labels and making the brief appear complete.

02

Summarize condition with source references

State displayed hours with the observation date, known issues and available service or test records. Link to the condition register and photo index by filename or reference. Avoid compressing nuanced evidence into runs great or fully serviced when the documents support only a narrower statement.

03

Define the package and logistics

List included major accessories and point to the exclusions schedule. Include equipment ZIP code, installation status, decommissioning responsibility, available date and final pickup deadline. Keep detailed private access instructions outside the brief. State which collection facts still require confirmation.

04

Finish with an evidence and revision line

List the key attachments, package revision date and authorized coordination contact or agreed response channel. A reusable sequence is identity; specification; condition; scope; pickup; evidence. Keep the brief consistent with the full records and update both when substantive facts change.
