Cross-check the equipment identity
Compare manufacturer, model and serial entries with the complete-set plate. Check engine fields against the engine’s own identification. Preserve rating units and category labels. If the plate and a document disagree, describe the conflict instead of silently selecting one. Verify that every uploaded report belongs to the offered unit.
Read condition and scope together
Confirm that known defects, missing parts and unresolved findings appear in the description. Match the included-equipment list to the photographs and flag visible exclusions. Check that a maintenance record has not become an unsupported claim of tested performance. The summary should not sound more certain than its evidence.
Reconcile the collection plan
Review ZIP code, decommissioning requirement, earliest availability and final removal deadline. Make sure the dates are in a workable order and explain any prerequisites. Identify who still needs to confirm readiness. A unit cannot be described as immediately available for loading while the notes say disconnection has not been arranged.
Check readability and your next contact
Open each sharing file and confirm that important text remains legible. Check the contact information and the person’s relationship to the equipment. Keep a copy of what was submitted and note any information still outstanding. Future corrections should refer to that version so the review process starts from an identifiable package.
