A 5% buyer fee
SellMyGen’s fee is 5% of the equipment purchase price, payable by the buyer separately from the equipment payment. SellMyGen charges no seller fee. For a $20,000 equipment purchase, the buyer fee is $1,000; the equipment price remains $20,000 before any separately agreed project costs.
Confirm the transaction terms
The buyer confirms the winning offer and pays the separate 5% fee before contact information is released. Cancellation and refund requests are reviewed individually by SellMyGen; a request does not automatically grant a refund. Inspection conditions remain in effect. Bidding and seller acceptance alone do not collect payment.
Equipment price and project costs
Inspection, disconnection, decommissioning, crane work, loading, transport, taxes, and site restoration can affect the total cost. They are not automatically included in a bid. Identify each responsibility in writing and confirm site requirements with the appropriate parties.
Direct equipment payment
The buyer pays the seller directly for the generator. SellMyGen collects only its separate 5% buyer fee and does not hold equipment purchase funds or provide escrow. Contacts remain locked until seller acceptance, buyer confirmation and verified fee payment. Online fee checkout is pending setup.
