Does submitting a generator commit me to selling?
No. Submitting equipment does not accept an offer. The seller separately confirms acceptance in their portal. This reserves one offer but does not share contacts. The buyer must then confirm and pay the 5% fee before contact information is released. Inspection conditions remain in effect.
Which manufacturer should I enter?
Use the manufacturer or packager on the complete generator-set nameplate. Enter the engine manufacturer separately. If the plate is missing or unreadable, explain that instead of guessing.
Can I submit an installed or non-running unit?
You can describe installed, non-running, or unknown-condition equipment in the submission. Include known issues and removal requirements. Recording it does not guarantee buyer interest or eligibility for a future sale.
How soon will I receive an offer?
There is no promised response time or guaranteed offer. Reviewed packages can be shared with matching approved buyers. Your seller portal shows progress and prepared offers.
Can buyers choose which equipment they see?
Buyers can save brand, kW, fuel, condition, age, hours, geography and removal preferences. Approved buyers can view matching shared packages. Email alerts are pending setup; account updates are available in the portal.
Who handles pickup and what are the fees?
Agree pickup, removal and transport responsibilities for each sale. Buyers pay a separate 5% SellMyGen fee; SellMyGen charges no seller fee. Equipment payment goes directly from buyer to seller. Online fee collection is pending setup.
What files can I upload?
The seller form accepts JPG, PNG, WebP, and PDF files: up to 10 files, 5 MB each, and 30 MB total. Include legible nameplates, condition photos, and relevant records. Remove unrelated personal and confidential details before uploading.
