Build a location and date timeline
List known storage locations, approximate or confirmed dates, and whether the unit was installed, removed or partly dismantled at each stage. Attribute dates to records when possible. If the start of storage is uncertain, give the known range rather than inventing an exact date.
Describe the storage arrangement
Use photographs and available records to describe indoor or outdoor placement, enclosure status and separately stored components. Disclose visible damage or known exposure events without diagnosing effects. State which areas have not been observed. A current photo cannot establish the conditions throughout an undocumented storage period.
Identify documented care
Collect invoices, inspection reports and any manufacturer-specific storage records already available. Describe only the work those records show. Do not state that the unit was maintained to manufacturer requirements simply because it was covered or occasionally visited. Keep storage care, operating history and load-test evidence as separate categories.
Request the right next assessment
Tell buyers whether present operating condition is verified or unknown. Ask which qualified inspection they require and how it would be arranged. Do not start, reconnect or service unfamiliar stored equipment solely to produce a listing video. Update the condition package with any later documented assessment while preserving the original storage timeline.
