Reconcile ownership and scope internally
Ask the responsible project team to identify which generator and accessories are owned and available for sale, which are rented and which belong to contractors. Record unresolved items separately. Do not include cables, tanks or temporary equipment simply because they were used together during the project.
Capture the end-of-project record
Collect the latest available hours, service reports, known issues and identity photos while authorized site staff remain available. Note the date of the last documented operating event without claiming a test result that was not recorded. Keep equipment condition separate from the broader statement that the project finished successfully.
Coordinate demobilization dependencies
Identify when fencing, access, loading areas and contractor support will change. Confirm the release decision and any preparation still required. Give bidders the actual collection window rather than the project’s general completion date, which may describe a different milestone.
Keep final changes traceable
If equipment is moved to another yard before sale, record the move and update the location, access photos and custody contact. Reconcile accessories after movement. Ask buyers to reconfirm any offer that relied on the earlier pickup arrangement so transport assumptions do not remain attached to an obsolete site description.
