Identify the recording
Record the unit reference, known recording date, location context and person or organization that supplied it. If any of those details are uncertain, say so. A clip without identifying evidence should not be presented as proof that the generator offered for sale is the machine shown.
Describe only the visible event
Summarize what can be observed, such as an exterior view or a normal display visible during an authorized operating event. Avoid claiming a particular test load, duration or result unless matching documentation supports it. Sound or a short operating clip alone does not describe a complete equipment assessment.
Preserve the original sequence
Retain the original file and disclose edits or excerpts in any sharing copy. If you provide timestamps for relevant moments, keep them tied to that version. Do not remove an alarm or interruption and describe the edited clip as an uninterrupted demonstration. Pair recorded issues with any later documented findings.
Use an agreed sharing method
The current SellMyGen submission form accepts images and PDFs, not video uploads. Note that a video is available and describe its scope, then arrange sharing through an approved channel if requested. Do not place sensitive site information in a broadly accessible link just to bypass an upload limit.
